Chris King driveshells contain two of our legendary made-in-house bearings, a machined bearing spacer spring to aid in preloading the bearings and a spacer spring o-ring. We encourage you to service your bearings before resorting to replacement.
Driveshell inner bearings do not have an outer seal and require the R45/R45D Hub Service Tool or Universal Hub Tool to remove and reinstall. There's only one style of inner bearing for all R45/R45D driveshells.
Driveshell outer bearings include an outer seal. They do vary depending on driveshell type and axle system. Please reach out to info@chrisking.mom if you have any questions on what bearing you need.
